Homecoming was another hit this year, as students dove “Under the Sea” for a night full of music, dancing, and memories. Right off the bat, students showed up in their best-dressed attire with their energy high. The line for the photobooth piled up all night long, and as usual, special performances from SOAR’s Music Club and Dance Club kicked off the night!
The dance floor was filled with the brand new class of 2029 as they got to experience their first high school dance. Freshman Sury Villasenor shared her first homecoming experience, saying, “A lot of things were amazing, like the music and performances, for example, but I think the best part was just hanging out with my friends and having fun at my first homecoming!”
While it was a big first for many, it was also the last for the class of 2026. For seniors, the night was bittersweet, marking the end of an era. Jasmine Bush, a senior, described her final homecoming as a big “full-circle moment.” “I liked that it was back in the cafeteria because that’s where it was my freshman year,” she said. “My favorite part was taking pictures with my friends, we even recreated one from freshman year, which made it feel extra special.”
DJ Ipa took over the entire night, bringing the dance floor to life. From classic throwbacks to the latest trending songs, everyone kept moving! There were many moments of singing and dancing that were left for the books, making the night one of the best homecomings yet.
To add on, Homecoming Royalty was done a little differently this year, giving all the classes a chance for the spotlight. This year’s winners were: Freshmen, Benson Limon and Jordan Zuniga; Sophomores, Kylie Reyes and Brandon Perez; Juniors: Madalyn Santos and Zoe Brown; and Seniors, Kamea Cato and Jada Jones. All eight of them were crowned to loud cheers and applause right on stage!
Between the performances, music, and dancing, the night was filled with laughter and memories that will forever stay with SOAR’s students. From the start of the night to the lights coming on, everyone had tired feet, pictures for days, and big smiles to close out Homecoming 2025. Until next year, SOAR will keep the memories of this year’s “Under the Sea.”.
