Meet Leah Maquindang! Leah is a junior and in her first year of journalism. A fun fact about her is that she was named after Princess Leia from Star Wars, mispelled courtesy of her dad! To add to the fun, her siblings also have Star Wars themed names. Leah played piano competitively for seven years but now enjoys it as a hobby, along with playing the ukulele. She’s the vice president of the Asian Pacific Islander Club, a committed member of the Dance Club, and a member of NHS, CSF, FMS, Key Club, and much more. Leah wanted to join journalism because she loves to write. She thought this class would teach her to become a better writer and continue to light the spark she has for creativity in literature.
