SOAR earns silver in black knowledge bowl

The top three finishers of the Black 365 Knowledge Bowl had SOAR in their name with our own SOAR High School coming in second.

SOAR Palmdale came in first followed by SOAR Lancaster and then SOAR Prep in third.

In an impressive demonstration of skill and knowledge, both SOAR High School campuses had all questions answered correctly and it came down to who had the fastest response.

Competing against top teams from across the Antelope Valley Union High School District, SOAR scholars demonstrated impressive depth of knowledge, quick thinking, and strong teamwork. The Knowledge Bowl challenges students in areas such as Black history, culture, politics, science, and current events, requiring not only preparation but the ability to respond accurately under pressure.

The team is led by Kiara ViDemantay, Isaiah Smart, BellaRose Diamond, Anaya Gresham and Treasure Olowosagba with Mrs. Pineda serving as its distinguished advisor.

Students and staff are celebrating the accomplishment as a reflection of the school’s commitment to academic excellence and cultural awareness.
