The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here. It is officially Pep Rally day. After this long and hard working day, we wrap up the end of this semester. We had seniors representing HSS, juniors representing EEK, sophomores as PNK, and last, but not least, freshmen as ROR. All classes made sure to go all out with chants and decor leaving the fine arts quad full of pride.
The event kicked off with a series of games and fun contests, including pop the balloon, soccer, chant battle, and more. There were also spectacular performances by Music Club and Dance Club.
In the end, the Class of 2024 came out as victors when the day ended and a winner was crowned.
Reaching the end of this semester and having a pep rally allows students to yell about their successes and earn a well deserved break from school. However, when it comes to one of the most important parts of the pep rally, junior Anthony Rivera said, “I thought the decorations were on point and the theme was engaging, I just wish there were more games and more practices of the chant.” Unlike freshmen, Panayiota Qarout stated, “Next pep rally I wanna see more people.”
This year was very inclusive and had all the grades participating as much as they could. Like every year the seniors take the win but their performance of the chant was worth it. Senior Class President Hazel Oliva stated, “I think every class put in a ton of effort into their performances and spirit.” Along with saying she would love to see more support for other performances like Dance club, Music club, and more. To tie this day together it was a true success for all classes.
