With fall now here, pumpkins become increasingly popular among bakers. There are

many things to do with pumpkins, but the best is to use it for baking and cooking. Most people make the famous pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cinnamon rolls, and many more pumpkin flavored recipes!

When baking or cooking with pumpkins, they often are hard to bake with. Depending on what you are baking or cooking, you first have to carve the pumpkin from the top and take out the seeds. Afterwards, you can make a ton of sweets and savory dishes! The most famous dessert many people make when using a pumpkin in their baking is pumpkin pie. Dysgla Vasquez said, “It tastes very warm, and is just very calm.” Pumpkin pie brings joy and calmness when eating!

Pumpkin pie isn’t the only kind of pumpkin cuisine that people make during the fall season! Many create sweet drinks like pumpkin chai latte, and of course, the classic pumpkin spice latte. Some other sweet treats include pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cakes, pumpkin pudding, pumpkin bites, pumpkin cinnamon rolls, and pumpkin bread! There are many possible sweet treats and savory snacks that can be made with pumpkins, so don’t limit yourself and keep baking!

Though most people don’t like pumpkins, a lot of SOAR students will!

Now that the fall season is coming up, people become more excited about pumpkins, using them for many aspects of their homes and lives. Pumpkins are often used in decoration, like jack-o’-lanterns, or even pillows. Many times, pumpkins are mixed with cinnamon or starness, which gives it the “Tastes like cinnamon and fall,” said Sherlyn Flores. Pumpkins are the comfort of Fall.

Whether it’s in sweet treats that you can eat or if it’s the nice scent from a candle or even a scary decoration on your front door. Pumpkins are the staple of fall time. They are the reminder and symbol of fall time and often bring joy to those who may be excited for the fall season.
