Angela Javaid

Meet Angela Javaid, a freshman who may seem quiet but is really outgoing once you get to know her. She is not currently in any other clubs besides journalism, but she may join another club or two depending if she can fit them into her schedule. Angela was interested in joining journalism because she was in her middle school’s Newspaper Club from 7th-8th. She was the President of the club in 8th grade, which was one of her few first experiences of leadership. Additionally, Angela was amazed by the activities journalism members do, such as podcasting and broadcasting, which led her to submit an application. Aside from journalism, Angela enjoys hobbies such as playing sports, singing, listening to music, traveling, editing and hanging out with friends. She hopes to find new interests during her time at SOAR. Angela aspires to improve her reading, writing, and interviewing skills throughout her time in this elective, as well as boosting her confidence. She is looking forward to meeting the rest of the staff and having a great year of journalism!
