Hi, my name is Maddie and I'm a freshman with my first year in journalism! A fun fact about me is that my house has almost burn down twice. I know crazy right? but it has taught me to be more grateful for what I have and appreciate every little thing. I also love lots of sports. I have mostly played soccer my whole life and I enjoy it, but I have also been doing volleyball for two years and am trying to introduce myself to new sports as well. I have not really done any clubs or activities before journalism but I did do a type of club called MUN (model united nations) and we would debate, write papers, do research, and work on real world problems to help others. I wanted to join journalism because it can help me with my writing skills, social skills, and different forms of media that can bring opinions and different type of information to others. I am really excited to also look at clubs to join because there are so many great options. I hope to get to know you all and hope to see you in my other classes as well!
