Alyssa Pineda

Alyssa Pineda is curious to see how Journalism will be for her first year at SOAR. Listening to true crime podcasts like Rotten Mango is always interesting. She wonders how report writing works, so she joined in hopes of learning. Her dream is to become an author and illustrator of children's books. Understanding different writing styles can help her achieve that goal! Books like Howl's Moving Castle or Blue Period are her favorites. Of course, she also loves music, as you can see in the photo. Her favorite artists like Deftones and Chevelle are always a go-to. Though her taste changes all the time, rock is a definite comfort zone for her. Always ready to lend an ear, Alyssa is looking forward to this year.
