Say hello to Lily Herrera! Lily is a new freshman at SOAR High School. Excited to start the new school year, she joined journalism to express her joys of writing and spread information to others. Besides journalism, she joined music club, dance club, fashion club, create for kids, API, and latino knowledge bowl. Her biggest passions are dance and writing, it is, as she says, "My form of expressing myself." She is very friendly and open-minded to new things. Along the way she picked up a few hobbies such as drawing, painting, writing, dancing, martial arts, singing, and hopefully more. This year, Lily is most excited to make friends and get to know many people which will help her not only journalism but in her future career. Lily hopes to be a marine biologist, specifically specializing in elasmobranch biology, which is the study sharks, Lily's favorite animal. She can't wait to get to know all the like-minded people in Journalism and the great thinkers at SOAR High School!
